Hofstra 3, Delaware 0 October 19, 2002 Pride Snap Blue Hens' Three-Game Winning Streak HEMPSTEAD, NY -- Alessandra Pollo notched 11 kills and seven blocks as Hofstra University (17-4, 8-1 Colonial Athletic Association) upended the University of Delaware volleyball team in a CAA conference match Saturday afternoon, 3-0, at Hofstra. The Pride won game one, 30-20, game two, 30-24, and game three, 30-19. Sophomore Valerie Murphy (Round Hill, VA) and Liz Ommundsen (Northport, NY) each posted 12 kills for the Blue Hens (6-13, 4-6 CAA), who saw their three-game winning streak snapped. The Blue Hens return to action Saturday afternoon when they travel to New York to take on CAA-rival Hofstra. Match ime is set for 2 p.m.
