NEWARK, DE -- Junior Valerie
Murphy posted 17 kills and five blocks as the University
of Delaware volleyball team knocked off Loyola (MD), 3-0,
Tuesday night at Viera Court.
Delaware (7-9) improved to 32-3 lifetime
against the Greyhounds, who lost their sixth-straight game
overall.
Sophomore Niecy Taylor added nine
kills while fellow sophomore Jennifer Daniels notched
eight and both junior Nicole Stuka and Sarah Engle
added five each. In addition, senior Allison
Hunter had 34 assists and freshman Jocelyn
Greenwald had 13 and both senior Liz Ommundsen
and freshman Heather Ranck posted 10 digs
each.
Loyola (1-17) was paced by Katie Pruitt's
13 kills while Liz Beauregard had 23 assists and seven digs.
Blair Snyder had nine blocks in defeat.
Delaware (7-9) returns to action this
weekend when it hosts Colonial Athletic Association rival
Virginia Commonwealth at 7 p.m.
