of Delaware Volleyball Sweeps Seton Hall,
3-0
LAWRENCEVILLE,
NJ (Sept. 24, 2004) -- The University of
Delaware volleyball team completed a
three-game sweep of Seton Hall on Friday
at the Rider Tournament, 30-20, 30-21,
30-17. The win improves the Blue Hens'
record to 8-3 while Seton Hall drops to
3-10.
Valerie
Murphy (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley) led
the attack for Delaware with 13 kills
while Claire McCormack (Downers Grove,
IL/Downers Grove South) recorded a
double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs.
Sarah Engle (Yorba Linda, CA/Esperanza)
tallied 12 kills on the night as the Blue
Hens posted 51 kills to Seton Halls
38.
Alex
Dyer led the attack for Seton Hall posting
15 kills.
Delaware
will face host Rider at 11 a.m. and
Princeton at 3 p.m. Saturday.
