Georgia State University Volleyball Ends Delaware Hot Streak with 3-0 Victory

ATLANTA, GA – Alex Blenche posted a game-high 17 kills and had 11 digs to lead the Georgia State University volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-24, 30-24, 30-23) win over Delaware in Colonial Athletic Association action Sunday afternoon at the Georgia State Sports Arena.

Junior Heather Ranck led the Blue Hens with a game-high 20 digs, while freshman Kelly Gibson posted a team-high nine kills and had nine digs. Sophomore Allison Lutz recorded 11 digs, while classmate Colleen Walsh had eight kills and three service aces.

Robyn van Dam recorded 14 kills for the Panthers, while Christen Garcia posted 18 digs.

This game marked the second meeting between Georgia State and Delaware with the Panthers winning both meetings.

Delaware falls to 9-14 overall and 5-6 in conference play, while the Panthers improve to 5-13 overall and 5-6 in the CAA.

The Blue Hens will be back in action Friday, October 21 when they host CAA opponent Virginia Commonwealth for a 7 p.m. match.
