TOWSON, MD -- April Hoffman recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 18 digs to lead the Towson University volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-28, 30-27, 30-28) victory over Delaware in Colonial Athletic Association action Tuesday evening at the Towson Center.

Freshman Kelly Gibson had a career night for the Blue Hens with 15 kills and 15 digs, while senior Megan McGrath made 10 kills. Heather Ranck and Claire McCormack each posted 10 digs, while Colleen Walsh added eight kills and seven digs.

Ally Perko made 12 kills for the Tigers, while teammates Lindsey Hardin and Christina Grempler each posted 11 kills. Alison Essink notched 15 digs, while Maddie Haseltine had 10.

The match marks the 58th meeting between Delaware and the Tigers, with the Blue Hens holding a 30-28 advantage all-time.

Delaware drops to 4-9 overall (2-3 CAA), while Towson improves to 13-1 overall (5-0 CAA).

The Blue Hens will be back in action Friday, September 23 when they travel to the Yale Invitational and will take on host Yale for a 7 p.m. match.
