 WILLIAMSBURG, VA- Mandy Mayo and Kate Woffindin each recorded a double-double to lead Wiliam & Mary over the University of Delaware volleyball team, 3-0 (30-27, 30-16, 30-19), in Colonial Athletic Assoication action Friday evening at William & Mary Hall.
Colleen Walsh led the Blue Hens with her fifth double-double of the year, posting 16 kills and 11 digs, while Heather Ranck, who ranks 24th in the nation with 5.05 digs per game, led the Blue Hens with 21 digs. Megan Welch had a team-high 31 assists and posted six digs in the match.
Mayo recorded 16 kills and 12 digs, while Woffindin posted 16 kills and 10 digs. Kathleen Hawley had a game-high 23 digs, followed by teammate Erin Simmons with 13 digs.
The match marks the 21st meeting between Delaware and the Tribe, with the Blue Hens holding a 15-6 advantage all-time.
Delaware drops to 3-8 overall and 1-2 in the CAA, while William & Mary improves to 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the CAA.
The Blue Hens will be back in action Saturday, September 18 when they travel to CAA opponent VCU for a 7 p.m. match.
