NEWARK, Del. -- Bonnie Kenny (at right), University of Delaware volleyball head coach and the 2007 Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year, will be hosting a coach's clinic on Sunday, Aug. 10.

The clinic will be held at the UD Carpenter Sports Building from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The fee is $65 for club, CYM, and high school coaches.

The fee goes directly toward each attendee becoming a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association and receiving several benefits, including articles, drills, coach’s magazine, and the annual AVCA membership convention registration discount. Other coaches may also attend and pay a fee based on special rates listed at www.avca.org.

The clinic will be in conjunction with the UD volleyball team’s pre-season practices. See how the team warms-up, learns fundamentals, run drills, and competes for playing time every session. Coaches will learn new ideas about how to train their teams for the upcoming season.

The 2007 Blue Hen volleyball team completed the most successful season in school history last fall, posting a record of 31-5, capturing the CAA title and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
