NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware head coach Bonnie Kenny helped promote Blue Hen volleyball by serving lunch to students at the Russell Dining Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
During lunch, Kenny assisted the dining hall staff and helped serve Chicken Parmesan and Pasta. For the special event, the dining counter was decorated with Delaware volleyball posters to go along with blue & gold balloons.
The event was part of the Guest Chef Program, which is run by UD Dining Services. Later on this year, men’s soccer head coach Ian Hennessy will also participate in the program. He will serve Irish Stew at the Rodney Dining Hall on September 15.
The Blue Hen volleyball team will return to action on Friday when the squad opens up the Delaware Invitational at Barb Viera Court in the Carpenter Sports Building. The home opener will be at 1 p.m. against Princeton. That match will be preceeded by an 11 a.m. showdown between Army and Rutgers.
