Bay State League All-Star each of her last three seasons...transferred from Randolph to Braintree after her freshman year...scored more than 1,000 points during her high school career...eared a spot as a Media One Classic All-Star and received the Fred Herget - Jim Calhoun Defensive Award...also a letterwinner in track at Braintree as a senior...honor roll student. Personal Jade Kathleen Leitao (pronounced LEE-A-TOE)...born July 13, 1983 in Los Angeles, CA...daughter of Norris Milton and Susan Leitao... niece of former Northeastern men's basketball head coach and current Connecticut men's basketball associate head coach Dave Leitao... mother, Susan, played professionally in France from 1978-80 after playing at Cal State Los Angeles and is now the Director of Programs for the Sport in Society Department at Northeastern University...aunt, Diane Leitao, also played in Providence in the mid-1970's...will major in engineering at Delaware.
