NEWARK, DE -- The University of Delaware athletics department has announced the availability of several special ticket packages for the remainder of the Blue Hen men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Delaware is offering a special holiday ticket package for the UD men’s final two home games in December. The cost is $10 for a ticket to a Fightin’ Blue Hens men’s basketball game, choice of a selected souvenir, courtesy of the University of Delaware Bookstore, and 4 Dining dollars to be used for selected concession stand items.

The holiday package includes Delaware men’s basketball games vs. Central Connecticut on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. and vs. Loyola (MD) on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at the Bob Carpenter Center. Deadline for purchasing tickets for the Dec. 29 and Dec. 31 games is 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 23.

Tickets can be purchased at the season ticket sales office in the Delaware Field House or by calling (302) 831-2257.

In addition to the holiday ticket package, University of Delaware employees can obtain up to four free tickets to selected Fightin’ Blue Hen basketball games this winter. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The games, billed as UD Employee Days, are the men’s game vs. James Madison on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and the women’s game vs. defending Colonial Athletic Association tournament champion Old Dominion on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.

Tickets for the Jan. 19 game can be picked up prior to game time. Deadline for obtaining free tickets for the Feb. 19 game is noon, Friday, Feb. 17. Tickets may be obtained at season ticket sales office in the Delaware Field House and the UD Bookstores in the Trabant University Center and the Perkins Student Center.

In addition, Delaware will be sponsoring two Delaware Basketball Scout Days this season, including a men’s game on Saturday, Feb. 11 vs. Drexel at 2 p.m. and the women’s game vs. Old Dominion on Sunday, February 19 at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $3 each and advance sales are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to order tickets is Feb. 3 for the men’s game and Feb. 10 for the women’s game.
