NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women’s basketball game on Thursday night will feature 14 mascots, including Delaware’s own YoUDee, Air YoUDee and Baby Blue, as the Blue Hens take on Northeastern University at the Bob Carpenter Center at 7 p.m.

In celebration of Baby Blue’s 10th birthday, a Mascot Mayhem game will take place at intermission. Eleven of YoUDee’s (at right) professional mascot friends from around the area will invade the arena available for a pre-game meet-and-greet, photo opportunities, and halftime entertainment, all while mingling and taking part in a number of planned timeout festivities.

All mascot performers are UD alumni ranging from classes of 1997 to 2009. In addition to the three Delaware characters, mascots will include: Houston Rockets' Clutch, Eagles’ Swoop, Eagles' Air Swoop, Blue Rocks’ Rocky Bluewinkle, Reggy, Ravens’ Poe, Washington Capitals’ SlapShot, Washington Capitals' Air SlapShot, Washington Nationals’ Screech, Durham Bulls’ Wool E. Bull, and Reno Aces’ Archie.

The Blue Hens, who received a pair of votes in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches’ Poll announced on Monday, will face the Huskies for the second time this season. Delaware (17-9, 9-6 CAA) defeated Northeastern (12-14, 7-8 CAA), 61-53 at Solomon Court on Jan. 10 in Boston.
