Courtney Levering will begin her seventh season with head coach Laura Slice's staff for the 2009-10 season.
Levering began her coaching career during Slice's first season at Delaware in 2003-04 and has played an integral part in the Blue Hens consistently ranking among the top programs in the Colonial Athletic Association. Delaware captured unofficial CAA team championships in both 2004 and 2006 and placed second during the 2005 and 2007 seasons.
A 2003 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in environmental soil science, she currently is the business development director for Boat Works at Shackamaxon in Philadelphia, joining the company in July, 2009.
She previously served as an environmental scientist with JMC Environmental in Newark, Del. in 2006-09 and was responsible for wetland investigations and permitting for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
She previously worked at Natural Resource Conservation Service in Elkton, Md. for two years before working for two years as an environmental specialist with the Division of Land Use Regulation and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in Trenton, NJ.
