CHERRY HILL, NJ - The University
of Delaware women's rowing Novice Heavyweight Eight stayed
undefeated Saturday, highlighting the Blue Hens' performance
at the Knecht Cup on Cooper River.
The Novice Heavyweight Eight finished in
6:15, topping Marist's time of 6:25. The crew of Dana
Hammond, Jess Colpo, Jenni Buckleym Lissa Kutz, Lauren
Heller, Betsy Ferry, Vikki Humenik, Lisa Hardy and
Katey Prosser is now 3-0 this season.
Delaware's Novice Four finished fourth
with a time of 9:24. Connecticut won the race with a time of
8:50.
The Varsity Lightweight Eight finished
sixth in its race with a time of 7:42, while the Varsity
Heavyweight Eight finished fifth with a mark of 7:45.
Villanova won both of those races. With times of 7:08 and
7:16 respectively.
The Blue Hens' Novice Heavyweight Eight
"B" finished third in its race with a time of 8:21.
Wisconsin won the Novice Eight with a time of
7:54.
Delaware will host St. Joseph's next
Sunday in a dual meet on the Christiana River in
Wilmington.
