The four will join recruits Allegra Smith from Princeton, N.J. and Jamie Logan from Saratoga Springs, N.Y. who were announced in January.

“This is our largest recruiting class in the history of the program,” said Slice, who has led the Blue Hens to two unofficial Colonial Athletic Association team titles in her six-year tenure at Delaware. “These women have seen much success in their high school rowing careers and I am looking forward to the positive impact they will bring to our team in 2008-2009.”

Fritz attended Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, Md. where she also competed for four years for the school’s swimming team. She competed in rowing as a coxswain and took part in the prestigious Stotesbury Cup Regatta in 2006.

Conway attended Saratoga Springs (N.Y.) High School and also competed for the Saratoga Rowing Association. She earned six New York State Scholastic Championship titles during her career and placed third at the 2008 Scholastic Nationals. She has won over 40 medals in her six years of rowing experience with the SRA.

Hoban attended nearby St. Mark’s High School and will add to the list of outstanding in-state recruits who have enjoyed outstanding success with the Blue Hens in recent years. She served as captain of the St. Mark’s rowing, won the squad’s Hammer Award in 2008, and took first place in the 2008 Christina Springs. She also competed at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in 2008.

Levitz competed for the St. Andrew’s Rowing Club in Atlanta and served as her crew’s coxswain. She helped the team win the overall points trophy at the 2006 Head of the South Regatta and at the 2006 Southeast Junior Regional Championships. She also was a 2007 USRowing Club Nationals finalist and recently helped St. Andrew’s qualify for the 2008 USRowing Club nationals.
