Delaware at Disney World Cross Country Classic

ORLANDO, FL -- On the strength of Caron Marra's eight-place individual finish, the University of Delaware women's cross country team finished fourth at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic at the Wide World of Sports Complex.

Marra, a senior from Newark, DE, finished the 5000-meter course in 19:49.99 to lead the Blue Hens. Sophomore Aimee Alexander (Stormville, NY) followed in 25th-place with a time of 20:40.42. Sophomore Jennifer Krisch finished in 31st-place with a time of 20:45.82, followed by Sarah Johnson (Hebron, CT) in 43rd-place (20:59.82) and junior Jae Mentzer (Hershey, PA) in 44th-place (21:01.78).

Central Florida's Sonja Shedden was the individual champion with a time of 18:50.19. South Carolina won the team championship with three finishers in the Top 10.
