Delaware at the NCAA District II Championships at
Navy Nov. 14, 1998 12th Place
The University of Delaware women's cross country
team placed 12th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals
Saturday at Navy. In women's competition Villanova
had the top two finishers which propelled the
Widcats to the overall team victory. Villanova was
paced by first place finisher Carrie Tollefson who
led the field with a time of 17:15.60. Georgetown,
Penn State, Princeton and West Virginia rounded out
the top five teams. The Blue Hen women were led by
Kristen Robbins (Hempfield/Landisville, Pa.)
who finished 61st with a time of 19:35.13. Also
pacing Delaware was Aimee Alexander
(Carmel/Stormville, N.Y.) who finished in 62nd
right behind Robbins with a time of 19:35.42 and
Sarah Johnson (RHAM Regional/Hebron, Connn.)
who finished 84th with a time of 19:53.33.
