Delaware Invitational Sept. 19, 1998 at 11:15 a.m. 4th Place
The University of Delaware women placed fourth
out of eight teams and the Blue Hen men finished
sixth out of eight entries as hosts of the
University of Delaware Cross Country Invitational
Saturday at White Clay Creek State Park. Columbia
took the women's team title with a score of 37
while the University of Pennsylvania won the men's
title with a score of 27. The Delaware women earned
86 points behind the running of Caron Marra
(Newark/Newark, DE) who placed fourth overall in a
time of 18:56 over the 3.1 mile course. Also for
the Hens, Kristen Robbins was 14th, Sarah
Johnson was 17th, and Brooke McKay
placed 31st. Penn's Rita Garber won the race in a
time of 18:24.

- 37; 2. Penn - 44; 3. East Stroudsburg - 77; 4.
Delaware - 86; 5. Towson - 127; 6. Morgan State -
207; 7. Delaware State - 210; 8. Lincoln - 222.
