Delaware at the Wake Forest Invitational

The University of Delaware women's cross country team placed third at the Wake Forest Invitational today (Saturday). Caron Marra was Delaware's top finisher placing 11th out of 57 runners. She finished with a time of 18:56.60. Marra has led Delaware in all three meets this season. Kristen Robbins was Delaware's number two finished. Robbins placed 14th with a time of 19:08. Janelle Kraus of Wake Forest won the individual title with a time of 17:02.34. Wake Forest won the invitational taking five of the first six places. The Blue Hen women run again next Saturday October 10 in the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek Park at 11:15 a.m.

Final Team Standings: 1. Wake Forest - 19; 2. UNC-Asheville - 67; 3. Delaware - 77; 4. UNC-Greensboro - 114; 5. East Tennessee State - 116; 6. North Carolina A&T - 180.

Individual Champion: Janelle Kraus (Wake Forest), 17:02.34
