January 5, 2002 LANDOVER, MD -- The University of Delaware placed three men's top 10 finishers and three women's top 10 finishers in Saturday afternoon's Terrapin/Potomac Valley USATF Invitational at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Center. Junior Jon DiNozzi (Middletown, DE/Fox Lane, NY) placed third overall in the pole vault with a jump of 15-11. Also for the men, Butch Patrick (Newark, DE/Newark) placed 9th in the 60 meter Dash (:06.97) and Jim DelGrosso (Wilmington, DE/Salesianum) was fourth in the high jump (1.93m). For the women, Amiee Alexander (Stormville, NY/Carmel) and Erin Gemmill (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) ran fifth and sixth respectively in the women's Mile Run (5:17, 5:18). Junior Jennie Chiller (Sharon, MA/Sharon) came in sixth place for the Weight Throw (14.64m).
