2:05 remaining in regulation off a Kristin Cellucci
goal. Delaware had several opportunities to tie the game in
the final moments, controlling the final draw and Blue Hen
leading scorer Nikki Kucharski awarded a free
position shot on the Lady Monarch net. However, the Lady
Monarch defense held tight and rookie netminder Michelle
Gannon came up with a critical save to help preserve
Edell scored twice for Delaware and junior Shannon
Kron also notched two goals for the Blue Hens, who saw
their three-game winning streak snapped.
