Leads Delaware with Ninth Place Finish in
Steeplechase at Rain-Shortened Terrapin

COLLEGE
PARK, MD -- The University of Delaware had
just five finishers at the rain-shortened
Terrapin Invitational hosted by the
University of Maryland Saturday afternoon.
Just five
events - the men's and women's 3,000 meter
steeplechase, the men's and women's 5,000
meters, and the women's 4 x 100 meter
relay - were contested before heavy rains
forced the cancellation of the meet.
Delaware
had just five athletes compete as Matt
Bryden placed seventh in the men's 5,000
meters (16:15.69), Kate Klim (right)
placed ninth in the women's 3,000 meters
steeplechase (11:50.38), Brenda Greene was
11th in the women's 5,000 meters
(20:11.41), Mike Manlove placed 21st in
the men's 5,000 meters (17:51.85), and
Matt O'Brien was 22nd in the men's 3,000
meter steeplechase (10:54.84).
Delaware
will host the annual Delaware Invitational
next Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, at
the Delaware Mini-Stadium.
