HEMPSTEAD, NY - The
University of Delaware women's soccer team fell to Hofstra
University, 1-0, Wednesday.
Hofstra senior Allyson Pullano
scored the lone goal off an assist from freshman Kathleen
Mikowski with 2:07 remaining in the second half.
On the goal, Delaware starting
goalie Christine Serzan was injured and had to be
removed from the game. She was replaced by fellow freshman
Rachel Bersin. Serzan recorded four saves prior to
leaving the game.
With the loss, the Hens drop
to 3-5 on the season, 1-1 in the America East. Hofstra is
6-3 (2-1 America East).
Delaware will participate in
the Richmond Tournament this weekend. The Hens will battle
the University of Richmond on Friday, and Virginia
Commonwealth on Saturday.
