RICHMOND, VA - The University of Delaware women's soccer team was blanked by the University of Richmond, 2-0, in the Richmond Tournament, Saturday. Richmond (8-3-1) opened the scoring at 23:58 in the first half when Maya Clark scored off a rebound of her own shot. Delaware goalie Rachel Bersin misplayed the Clark kick, which Clark took and drilled for the goal. Richmond added a penalty kick goal by Courtney Ficken at 88:26 in the second half to close the scoring at 2-0. Delaware had many scoring chances in the second half, but was unable to capitalize. Delaware drops to 3-6 on the season. The Hens will battle Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Richmond.
