The University of Delaware women's soccer team (3-11-1,2-4) dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to Boston University (9-6, 6-1) on Friday at the Delaware Mini-Stadium. The Blue Hens started the scoring when Alexis Olivera (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) put in a Mandy Merritt (Ontario, Canada/Grimsby) shot that ricocheted off the cross bar to make the score 1-0. The Terriers struck back in the middle of the second half when Deidre Enos scoredafter stealing the ball from a defender to tie the score at 1-1. Delaware and Boston University did not score for the rest of regulation. Boston University was the first team to capitalize on an opportunity in overtime when Nicole Soules scored off a pass from Deidre Enos to win the game for the Terriers 2-1 in sudden death overtime. Boston University outshot Delaware 22-6, including 8-2 in the first half and 10-4 in the second half.
