The University of Delaware women's soccer team (3-9-1, 2-3)dropped a 2-1 decision to Vermont (6-6, 3-2) in Burlington, Vt. on Sunday.Vermont jumped on the scoreboard first when Kelly Herrero put in a goal from six yards out past Delaware goalkeeper Allison Martin (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) to make the score 1-0. Delaware struck back when they tied the game off a Cate Harrison (Ramsey,N.J./Ramsey) goal which came off a corner kick with 18:05 left in the game. The Catamounts took the lead for good when they scored on a Megan Mattes header off a cross from Mardie Dicarlo to make the score 2-1 with 3:45 left in the game. Delaware outshot Vermont 13-10, including 11-3 in the second half.
