BOSTON -- Deidre Enos
scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Boston
University women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over the
University of Delaware Friday night in Boston.
Delaware (11-6-1, 4-4 America
East) stayed right with the Terriers (12-6-0, 8-0), who
wrapped up the conference regular season title, in the first
half, and the game went to halftime scoreless.
Enos scored her first goal
just seven minutes into the second half to give the Terriers
all they would need.
Rachel Bersin made six
saves for the Blue Hens, who were officially eliminated in
the race for the fourth and final spot in the upcoming
America East Tournament. Maria Pollaro led the Blue
Hen attack with two shots.
Delaware will conclude its
2000 season Sunday when the Blue Hens stay in Boston to take
on Northeastern in a 2 p.m. match.
