NEWARK, DE -- Susie
Woodson and Sandra Kayulu each scored a goal to lead the
University of Hartford women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over
the University of Delaware Friday afternoon at Delaware
Field.
Hartford (9-1, 3-0), ranked
seventh this week in the American Soccer Writers' Poll,
outshot the Blue Hens (8-4-1, 1-2) 13-4. The Hawks have won
eight straight matches, and have not allowed a goal during
their winning streak.
Brittany Campbell led
the Delaware attack with two shots, but it was not enough as
Anne Lise Nilssen posted the shutout. This was the third
straight match in which Delaware has not scored.
Delaware goalkeeper Rachel
Bersin, making her second consecutive start after
returning from an ankle injury, made five saves in the
defeat.
The Blue Hens take a week off
before travelling to Hofstra Oct. 13 for a 3 p.m.
match.
