Ollis headed home a cross from Melissa Mueller just 35
seconds into the second overtime to give the Towson
University women's soccer team a 1-0 win over the University
of Delaware Friday afternoon at Delaware Field.
Delaware (8-2-1, 1-1 America
East) controlled much of the action in the second half, but
could not score past Towson goalkeeper Tina Steck. Fran
Termini led the Blue Hens with three shots.
Freshman goalkeeper Erin
Johnson made four saves for Delaware, who recorded seven
corner kicks on the day.
Steck made six saves for the
Tigers (6-4, 2-0).
Delaware will return to action
Oct. 3 when the Blue Hens travel to Princeton for a 7:30
p.m. match.
