Hawks stop Hens in double OT

WEST HARTFORD, CT-- University of Hartford's Malin Engman scored with a little over a minute remaining in the second overtime to lift the Hawks past University of Delaware, 2-1, in women's soccer action Friday night.

Delaware, playing its first game in 12 days, evened its season mark at 2-2.

After Hartford (2-2) took a 1-0 lead seven minutes into the second half, Blue Hen junior Caryn Blood tied the game with her first goal of the season, with assists by Ginette Buffone and Brittany Campbell. For Buffone, a sophomore out of Enfield, CT, it was her fourth assist of the young season.

Delaware's junior keeper Rachel Bersin's recorded a season-high 11 saves to help the Hens push the match into its second overtime before Engman scored on a header.

Delaware will try to end a two-game losing streak Sunday at Vermont starting at 1 p.m
