scores twice in second half to down Blue Hens,
2-0
HARRISONBURG, VA -- Abby
Karpinski and Teri Joyce each scored second half goals to
lead James Madison to a 2-0 victory over Delaware in a
Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer match Saturday
afternoon.
Lindsay Shover made
eight saves in a losing effort for the Blue Hens. She had
her 407 minute shutout string snapped when Karpinski
gathered a pass from Joyce and buried her shot from eight
yards out.
Jessica Hussey had one save in
net for the Dukes.
James Madison (7-4-3, 3-1-2
CAA) outshot Delaware 14-4, while the Blue Hens held a 10-3
advantage in corner kicks.
Delaware (6-4-1, 2-1-1 CAA)
returns to action Sunday when it visits conference rival
George Mason.
