RICHMOND, VA -- For the second consecutive week, freshman forward Amy Pickard (right), who scored goals in four consecutive matches for the Blue Hens before their loss at William and Mary on Sunday, was named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Pickard, a Lancaster, PA native, fired in the Hens' second goal in Friday's 3-1 upset of defending CAA champion Old Dominion. She found open space down the right side of the field, made a 40-yard run, and slid the ball past the Monarch keeper to put the Hens ahead in the 66th minute.

The goal was Pickard's fifth of he year, good for the team lead. She added an assist on Melissa Kilker's goal just eight minutes later, her second helper of the year.

Pickard has recorded 16 shots in 2007, second on the team behind fellow forward Caitlyn Germain's 25. She has started all nine of Delaware's matches so far this season.

The electric freshman is tied for sixth in the CAA with 12 points and seventh in the conference in points per game (1.33). Her five goals put her in a tie for fourth league-wide.

Pickard was also named CAA Co-Rookie of the Week for the week of September 24, when she found the back of the net at Texas-San Antonio and Baylor.

William and Mary forward Claire Zimmeck, last year's conference Player of the Year, was named CAA Player of the Week.
