PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware women’s soccer team defeated Colonial Athletic Association foe Drexel 1-0 on the strength of senior Alli D’Amico’s second half goal to win its first road game of the season in the season finale at Vidas Field.

Delaware did not qualify for the six-team conference playoff, but with the win, the Hens (at right) ended their season 7-10-1 (4-7 CAA). Drexel fell to 7-11-1 (2-8-1 CAA).

D’Amico’s unassisted goal in the third minute of the second half, was her team-leading fifth of the season. She finished as the Hens’ leading goal scorer and point scorer with 13.

Drexel outshot Delaware 10-8 and took five corner kicks to the Hens’ two. Delaware goalkeepers Annie Bevan (three saves) and Breanna Stemler (two saves) split time in net to preserve the shutout.
