NEWARK, Del.– The University of Delaware women’s soccer team scored two goals in the second half after a 30-minute lightning delay to defeat Northeastern 2-0 in a Colonial Athletic Association clash on Sunday afternoon.
Senior midfielder Dana Rodgers scored the game’s first goal when she one-timed a rebound inside the box and put it past Northeastern goalkeeper Stephanie Gordon. This was the senior captain’s first goal of the season.
Caitlyn Germain would score her second goal of the season off an assist from Rodgers with a little under four minutes left in regulation to give the Hens a cushion at 2-0.
