NEWARK, DE -- Tom Maday won three events in the men's race and Jennifer Haus won two individual events for the women as the University of Delaware men's and women's swimming teams swept America East rival Drexel Saturday at Rawstrom Pool.

The Blue Hen men (2-1) downed the Drexel men (0-4) 138-105 while the Delaware women (2-1) defeated the Drexel women (0-4) by a 136- 105 score.

Maday (Great Mills/Lexington Park, MD), a six-time America East champion, won the 200 individual medley (2:00.55) and the 200 breaststroke (2:13.89) and teamed to win the 400 medley relay (3:39.84). Michael Gallaher (Peabody/West Peabody, MA) was also a double winner for the Blue Hens, capturing the 200 freestyle (1:47.20) and 500 freestyle (4:50.89).

Other Delaware winners were Bryan Kahner (Jericho/Jericho, NY) in the 1,000 freestyle and Ian Miller (Dover/Dover, PA) in the 100 freestyle.

The Blue Hen women had several double winners. Haus (St. Mark's/Newark, DE) won the 100 freestyle (54.85) and 200 freestyle (1:57.05), Jenna Blongiewicz (Andover/Andover, MA) won the 200 IM (2:15.26) and 400 medley relay; Kathryn Fryer (Severna Park, MD HS) won the 200 butterfly (2:13.67) and 400 medley relay; Lisa Dillinger (Pallotti/Crofton, MD) won the 200 backstroke (2:10.71) and 400 medley relay; and Sara Dyson (Liberty/Bethlehem, PA) won the 200 breaststroke (2:30.30) and 400 medley relay.
