PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The University of Delaware swim teams broke four records, including three pool marks, while posting victories over Drexel during a Colonial Athletic Association meet at the Daskalaskis Center on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Hyman and Hans Gillan both set marks while leading the men (9-2, 5-1 CAA) to a 141-85 victory over the Dragons. The women (8-2, 4-2) were led by record-breaking performances from Cortney Barry and Hannah Facchine (at right) as the team posted a 164-64 victory.

On the men's side, Hyman broke the all-time program record in the 400-IM after speeding to a time of 4:05.12. His pace shaved over three seconds off the previous record set by current teammate Craig Young during last year's conference championship. Gillan also set a Daskalaskis mark in the 100-butterfly after finishing in 50.49. Their performances highlighted seven first-place finishes by the Blue Hens.

John Ohlhaver captured two individual events, taking the 200-freestyle in 1:44.28 before winning the 100-discipline in 46.80. Grady Carter finished a Delaware sweep in the sprint freestyles after winning the 50-yard event in 21.32.

Along with victories by the 200-medley and 200-freestyle relay teams, Delaware also received wins from Dominic Pavlik and Craig Young. Pavlik took the 1000-freestyle in 9:49.30, while Young won the 100-backstroke in 52.72.

For the women, Barry set the pool record in the 200-freestyle after placing in 1:53.75. Freshman standout Hannah Facchine quickly followed with her own pool record, breaking the mark in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:06.95.

Delaware also received two victories from Lauren Guntner after she won the 400-IM in 4:33.37 before capturing the 500-freestyle in 5:11.49. Stephanie Dodd also had a strong showing in a distance freestyle, pacing the field in the 1000-yard event with a time of 10:42.04.

Kailey Pelton, Donna Healy, and Sarah Begley rounded out the individual winners for the women, who also won both relay events during the meet. Pelton captured the 100-butterfly in 1:00.16, Healy took the 100-freestyle in 54.16, and Begley won the 50-freestyle in 25.29.

The Blue Hens will return to the pool next Saturday when Delaware hosts William & Mary at 1 p.m. The meet is the final home competition of the season for both teams.
