North-South Rumble at New
Hampshire

DURHAM, NH - The University of Delaware women's
tennis team ran its record to 3-0 on the season with a 6-3
victory over the University of Hartford in the opening round
of the North-South Rumble Friday afternoon at the University
of New Hampshire.
The Hens, who face host New Hampshire today (Saturday) at
3 p.m. and Vermont Sunday at 8:30 a.m., took five of the six
singles matches from Hartford to post the easy victory. The
Hens have now defeated 26 straight conference opponents in
regular season play since the 1992 season.
Posting straight set singles victories for the Hens were
Kristin Wasniewski at the No. 2 spot, Karen
Greenstein at No. 3, Erin Kamen at No. 4,
Jessica Wilkes at No. 5, and Martine Street at
No. 6. Greenstein (New Rochelle/New Rochelle, NY) won her
50th career singles victory, improving to 50-18. She
becomes just the fourth player in UD history to reach 50-win
plateau.
The Blue Hens won just one doubles competition as the No.
3 team of Greenstein and Street won 8-2.
