North-South Rumble at New Hampshire

DURHAM, NH -- The University of Delaware women's
tennis team completed a perfect 3-0 weekend with a 9-0 sweep
over the University of Vermont Sunday morning in the final
round of the North-South Rumble hosted by the University of
New Hampshire.
The Blue Hens improved to 5-0 overall and ran their
regular season America East win streak to 28 matches with
the win over the Catamounts (2-4). Delaware won all six
singles matches in straight sets to post the victory.
Earning singles wins for the Hens were Elly Giese
at No. 1, Kristin Wasniewski at No. 2, Karen
Greenstein at No. 3, Erin Kamen at No. 4,
Jessica Wilkes at No. 5, and Martine Street at
No. 6. Wasniewski, Kamen, and Wilkes all improved to 5-0 on
the season in singles play.
In doubles, the Blue Hens received victories from the
teams of Giese and Wasniewski at No. 1, Greenstein and
Street at No. 2, and Wilkes and Kamen at No. 3. Greenstein
and Street improved to 5-0 on the season in doubles play and
to 8-0 together all-time including last season.
Delaware will return to action Oct. 15 vs. St.
Joseph's.
