March 28, 2001 Hens Move to .500 with Win
SAINT LEO, FL -- The University of Delaware men's and women's tennis teams both moved their records to an even .500 on the season with a sweep of their matches over St. Leo Wedneday afternoon. The men's team won, 5-4, while the women won their match, 7-2. Ari Zweig was a double winner for the Delaware men, which evened their mark at 3-3 on the season and defeated St. Leo for the ninth straight time. Zweig defeated Chris Shaheen, 6-0, 6-0 in singles' action and later won his doubles match with partner Pat Seitz by default. On the women's side, Martine Street, Anisha Talati and Danielle Wall were all double winners as the Blue Hens moved to 2-2 on the season and defeated St. Leo for the third time in as many meetings. Street and Wall teamed up to defeat Krysia Scherlinger and Jen Molby, 8-1, in doubles action. Delaware continues its Florida Spring Break swing Thursday when it visits Stetson at 3 p.m.
