Swarthmore Invitational September 14-15, 2002 Blue Hens Open Season by Taking Doubles Title   SWARTHMORE, PA -- The University of Delaware women's tennis squad opened the 2002-2003 season at the Swarthmore College Invitational this past weekend and recorded a doubles title and second place finishes in three of the four singles flights. The Blue Hen team of Katie Miller and Jenna Musolino defeated a team from Millersville by a 9-7 score to capture the doubles title while singles players Jessica Wilkes, Miller, and Julia Shapiro all finished in second place in their respective flights. For the tournament, Delaware posted a combined record of 16-11 in singles play. Also competing in the season -opening tournament were players from Swarthmore, Franklin & Marshall, and Millersville. Swarthmore's Anjani Reddy defeated Delaware's Jessica Wilkes 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 Flight finals; Tiffany Callaio downed Delaware's Miller in the No. 3 Flight finals, and Natalie Barnes of Millersville beat Delaware's Shapiro 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 Flight championship.
