March 11, 2003 Leopards Stay Undefeated in Sweep of Blue Hens EASTON, PA -- Host Lafayette College won all six singles matches in straight sets and swept the doubles point with three victories in defeating the University of Delaware 7-0 in women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon. Delaware (2-4) lost its second straight match while Lafayette remained undefeated in duals this season with a 7-0 record. The Blue Hens will return to action March 14 at home vs. Loyola College. Lafayette swept the six singles matches as Chez Saricas defeated Delaware's Jessica Wilkes, 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot, Shannon Rowe defeated Jennifer Lamberton, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2, Lilly Fardshisheh beat Beth Principe, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3, Monika Serrano upended Stephanie Riddle, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4, Ali Kelley defeated Katie Heath, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, and Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Julia Shapiro, 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot. Both Shapiro and Riddle had three-match win streaks snapped in singles play. In doubles, the No. 1 team of Rowe and Fardshisheh defeated Wilkes-Principe, 8-6, Serrano and Kelley downed Lamberton and Katie Miller, 8-2, and the No. 3 tandem of Saricas and Fung-Kee-Fung downed Heath and Jenna Musolino, 8-2.
