Riddle Wins Hens'
Lone Match at No. 6 Singles
HARRISONBURG, VA -- The University
of Delaware women's tennis squad opened its Colonial
Athletic Association season with a 6-1 loss to host James
Madison Friday afternoon at the Harrison Park Indoor Racquet
Club.
The Blue Hens, who were playing their
first match since a 9-0 win over St. Leo in Florida March
26, fell to 5-7 (0-1 CAA). Delaware will take on CAA foe UNC
Wilmington Saturday afternoon at James Madison

Friday's match was moved inside due to
rain. The Delaware men were also scheduled to face James
Madison Friday afternoon but that match was postponed due to
the weather. The UD men will take on James Madison and
Radford Saturday afternoon.

up the only Blue Hen victory Friday as she downed Mary
Napier of James Madison by a score of 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 at the

the best mark on the squad.
James Madison captured the other eight
matches, including sweeping the three doubles
matches.
Delaware's Jamie deGraffenreid
suffered a grueling loss at the No. 4 singles spot as
she dropped a 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 11-9 decision to Rebecca
