NEWARK, DE -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s tennis teams each remained undefeated in their respective fall seasons by shutting out Mount St. Mary’s, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Delaware Tennis Courts.

The Blue Hen men improved to 2-0, while the Delaware women improved to 3-0 on the season. The Mountaineer men fell to 2-2, while the Mount St. Mary’s women dropped to 2-3 on the season.

Senior Jesse Carl (Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North) defeated Bobby Cozzillio 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles for the Delaware men, while senior Adam Liebman (Westport, CT/Staples) topped Favio Osorio 6-4, 6-7 (5), 10-7 at No. 2 and senior Josh Ditman (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Jeff Lamberton at No. 3. Sophomore Jason Hanschmann (Palatine, IL/Palatine) defeated Derek Taylor 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4, freshman Nolan Greenberg (Glendale, WI/Nicolet) recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win over Paul Stuart at No. 5, and sophomore Jonathan Schwartz (Roslyn Heights, NY/Wheatley School) bested Sam Walton 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.

Carl and Hanschmann defeated Cozzillio 8-2 at No. 1 doubles for the Blue Hens, while Ditman and Levine posted a 9-7 win over Lamberton and Osorio at No. 2. Greenberg and senior Philip Wayne (Huntington, NY/Huntington) shut out Stuart and Walton 8-0 at No. 6.

Sophomore Susan Pollack (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing Area) defeated Jen Iosue 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the Delaware women to post the 25th victory of her career, while freshman Amanda Campbell (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel Area) posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Katie Muething at No. 2 and junior Liz Perlow (Sarasota, FL/Lawrence-NY) recorded a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Kaitlin Hallahan at No. 3. Junior Sari Shuster (Pleasantville, NY/Byram Hills) topped Whitney Edmonds 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4, sophomore Brittany Barsky (Rockville, MD/Rockville) shut out Ashley Wentzel 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and freshman Katie Iannelli (Wilmington, DE/Ursuline Academy) defeated Christine Pace 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Pollack and Campbell shut out Iosue and Edmonds 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Shuster and Barsky topped Muething and Hallahan 8-4 at No. 2. Sophomore Alexa Dragonette (Wyomissing, PA/Wilson) and sophomore Julie Schiller (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) defeated Alicia Patterson and Wentzel 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Both Blue Hen teams remain home next Sunday when Delaware hosts Temple at 11 a.m.
