NEWARK, DE -- The Temple University women’s tennis team won all six singles matches to defeat the University of Delaware, 6-1, Tuesday afternoon at the Delaware Tennis Courts.

The Blue Hens, who fell to 3-1 on the season, took the doubles point as Susan Pollack and Amanda Campbell defeated Ana Maslesa and Yuri Kurashima, 8-6, at No. 1 while Sari Shuster and Liz Perlow topped Laura Seiverling and Sharanya Pattabi, 8-6 at No. 3. The Owls, who improved to 2-0, won the No. 2 doubles match as Jennifer Goeta and Felicia Frazier posted an 8-5 victory over Alexa Dragonette and Julie Schiller.

Maslesa defeated Pollack, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for Temple, while Kurashima posted a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Campbell at No. 2 and Goeta recorded a 6-4, 6-2 win over Perlow at No. 3.

Seiverling defeated Shuster 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 for the Owls, while Pattabi edged Dragonette 7-6 (0), 7-6 (5) at No. 5 and Frazier posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Kate Iannelli at No. 6.

The Blue Hens play their final match of the fall season on October 27 when Delaware travels to La Salle for a 2:30 p.m. match with the Explorers.
