BETHLEHEM, PA -- Senior Susan Pollack got an easy win at first singles and teamed with freshman Courtney Fenimore for a first-doubles triumph to lead the University of Delaware women's tennis team to a 7-0 shutout of Lehigh on Thursday afternoon at Lewis Tennis Center.

Pollack handily defeated Lehigh's Allison Schwartz, taking a 6-0, 6-4 decision at the top singles spot, while Fenimore followed suit with a love-love win over Julie Arthofer in second singles action. Sophomore Elena Berry, UD's No. 3, dominated Ruthie Furman 6-1, 6-3, and junior Amanda Campbell kept the Hens perfect with a 6-3, 6-1 thrashing of Victoria Vityuk at fourth singles.

Senior Alexa Dragonette (at right) and freshman Ivana Petrich notched straight-sets wins at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.

Pollack and Fenimore overwhelmed Schwartz and Furman in their match-up at first doubles, as they led a Delaware sweep of the three doubles matches.

The Blue Hens have racked up an 18-0 singles record and an 8-1 doubles mark on the way to their second consecutive 3-0 start and their third in four years.

UD returns to the court on Saturday, when the Hens host Mount St. Mary's at noon.
