2010: Appeared in 13 games, all out of the bullpen for the Blue Hens • threw 20 innings and ended with a 2-0 record • struck out 18 batters while only walking 11 • retired all four batters he faced against Penn on April 6, picking up his first win of the season in a 14-8 victory for the Blue Hens • earned a win in back-to-back appearences as he pitched two innings against Delaware State on April 13 in the Hens 13-8 victory • pitched an inning and two-thirds in game two of against Maryland on Feb. 27, striking out a season high four batters • his last appearance came on May 22, pitching two innings, striking out three while allowing just one walk.
2009: Appeared in eight games and tossed 12 innings as a reliever as a freshman • one of only four true freshmen to see action during the season • posted a 2-0 record with a 3.00 ERA and six strikeouts • held the opposition scoreless during six of his eight appearances • had an 8.1-inning scoreless streak between Feb. 28 and Apr. 8 • earned his first career victory with two spotless frames against Wilmington on Mar. 17 • picked up his second win against Saint Joseph’s on Mar. 25 • tossed a season-high 2.1 innings of work with two strikeouts against the Hawks on Apr. 8.
High School: Three-year standout for Don Bosco Prep • saw action as a third baseman for the Ironmen • led the team to three straight county titles and a No. 2 National Ranking by USA Today in 2008 • team went 33-0 and won the state championship during his senior season • also a three-year member of the basketball team as a shooting guard • member of the National Honor Society and served as a Big Brother for incoming freshmen.
