High School: Four-year letterwinner at Redlands East Valley High School as a pitcher and second baseman • named All-Conference, All-Section and All-CIF his senior year.
Personal: Eric Tyler Young • son of Tim and Cindy Young • has a younger brother • father, Tim, played baseball at NCAA Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo • uncle, Jason Young, was a swimmer at the University of Southern California • honor student as an economics major at Delaware.
