#18 Dave Angebranndt
Student Manager/Coach
A two-year member of the University of Delaware squad as a backup catcher in 2010-11, Dave Angebranndt will serve as a student manager/coach as a senior during the 2012 season.
A native of Ewing, N.J., Angebranndt (pronounced "Anj-brant") will assist head coach Jim Sherman and his staff in working with the Blue Hen pitchers and catchers.
He played in 17 games with four starts over two seasons for the Hens, collecting four hits, including two doubles. He also knocked in three runs.
In his first season at Delaware in 2010, he played in 14 games with three starts and earned the team's Perry Burkett Triple Effort Award for outstanding determination, dedication, and enthusiasm. He saw action in seven games in 2011.
He was a four-year letterwinner at Ewing High School where he competed in baseball, bowling, and soccer. He moved on to Mercer County (N.J.) County Community College where he competed for two seasons, batting .339 with 23 RBI as a freshman when he earned All-Region 19 honors and led the team to the region title.
An outstanding student, he is a health and physical education major at Delaware. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He is the son of Bruce and Elizabeth Angebranndt and has an older brother, Dan.
