2011: Joined Steve Ulaky as the only Blue Hens to start all 53 games during the 2011 campaign • ranked second on the squad with a .386 on-base percentage and 28 walks while anchoring the lineup from the leadoff position • also finished second with 20 doubles, which marked the fifth-highest total in the Colonial Athletic Association • recorded a hit in 39 games, highlighted by 20 multi-hit efforts • opened the season with a pair of three-hit performances during the team’s first three games • chipped in with two hits and a pair of runs during UD’s thrilling 7-3 victory over No. 9 Arizona State on February 25 • matched season-highs with three hits and three runs scored against intrastate rival Delaware State on March 16 • drove in a season-high three runs during a 15-12 victory over Temple on March 29 • pieced together his finest effort in conference action during a three-game series with Georgia State from April 1-3 • had two hits and at least one run scored in each of the games against the Panthers • finished the series with six hits, four runs scored, and two RBI while leading the squad to a pair of victories • flashed his power potential during an outburst in the middle of April • launched his only home runs of the season during a three-game span after blasting his first against UNC Wilmington on April 9 before tacking on another one against Towson on April 15 • his home run against UNCW came in the ninth inning and sealed a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Seahawks • posted a season-best nine-game hitting streak from April 17-30 • honored as Delaware’s Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring the infield at second base • led the team and ranked eighth in the CAA with 132 assists while also posting a .950 fielding percentage.
2010: Named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team as a freshman • earned a spot on the Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie Team • UD Team Rookie of the Year Award honoree • batted .350 while starting all 51 games at second base • batting average was the highest for UD freshman since current Cincinnati Reds farmhand Alex Buchholz hit .378 in 2006 • set the UD freshman record and second all-time record with a 30-game hitting streak from Feb. 28 through April 21 • ended an impressive freshman campaign with 71 hits, 16 doubles, two home runs, 35 RBI and 34 runs • went 3 for 5 with his first collegiate home run, two doubles, five RBI, and two runs scored in a 17-3 win over Maryland on Feb. 27 • recorded a team high 135 assists from second base and comes into his sophmore season riding a three-game hit streak.
High School: Earned four letters as a shortstop at Sussex Central High School • led the team to a 20-3 record as a senior • earned first-team All-State honors during his final season • also garnered second-team All-State accolades during his first three years • named the 2008 and 2009 Henlopen Conference Player of the Year • also earned four letters in football • was a two-time All-Conference selection as a quarterback • competed in basketball as well.
