At Delaware: Co-captain with fellow pitcher Eric Young • will look to cap off his two-year stint in Newark with another strong performance after helping anchor the Blue Hen bullpen during his junior campaign in 2011.
2011: Honored as the co-recipient of Delaware’s Perry Burkett Triple Effort Award for his work on and off the field • durable on the mound, he appeared in 28 games during the season, which was the most on the team and one shy of the conference lead • his 17 appearances during league play was tied for the highest total in the CAA • kicked off the 2011 campaign with his lone start of the year in the season opener against UNC Greensboro on February 18 • transitioned to the bullpen one week later and excelled in his new role • impressed against No. 9 Arizona State on February 25, firing 3.1 innings while allowing just one run during Delaware’s 7-3 victory • came back to toss 2.1 frames against the Wildcats during the series finale on February 27 • following work against Saint Joseph’s on March 2 and Wilmington on March 5, he pieced together an incredible roll over the next month of action • appeared in 14 of the team’s 19 games between March 11 and April 9 • during that stretch, he fired 17.1 innings and allowed just 11 hits and four earned runs for an incredible 2.08 ERA over that run • his performance was highlighted by a stretch of 5.1 scoreless frames from March 13-19, including 2.2 spotless innings against Hofstra on March 19 • added a stretch of 4.2 scoreless from April 1-8, including 1.2 perfect frames against UNC Wilmington to cap off that run • continued his domination with two scoreless innings against Towson on April 7 and 2.2 flawless frames against James Madison on April 24 • earned his first career save with his finest effort of the year against Virginia Commonwealth on April 29 • held the Rams to just one hit while striking out two over 3.2 scoreless innings • eventually finished the year with 16 scoreless appearances and allowed just one run in seven other contests during the season.
2010 (Riverside City College): Went 3-1 while pitching 43.1 innings at Riverside (Calif.) City College in • struck out 32 batters while earning a 6.02 earned run average. • helped the team to a 14-21 overall record.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in baseball for La Sierra High School • first team All-Ivy League as a senior • second team All-Ivy League as a freshman and again as a junior • named to the All-Tournament Team during the Daryle Kyle Tournament as a freshman and again as a junior • named All-Tournament for his performance during the Chino Tournament as a sophomore • earned a spot on the County All-Star team as a senior.
