Freezing Rain & Snow Forces Cancellation of Ron Fraser Classic for Delaware Baseball

CARY, N.C. –Due to heavy amounts of freezing rain and snow in the Cary, N.C. area the final two days of the Ron Fraser Classic has been cancelled by tournament officials.
Delaware (1-1) was scheduled to play Canisius at 2:30 p.m. in addition to a Sunday game against Albany at 1:00 p.m.
The Blue Hens split their only two games of the invitational on Friday, with an 8-4 victory over Temple and a 3-1 defeat to Toledo.
Tentatively, Delaware and Canisius are trying to play Sunday in Wilson, N.C. with a first pitch time yet to be scheduled.
On Friday, Feb. 22, Delaware will travel to Wichita, Kan. next week for a four-game, three-day series against the Shockers at Eck Stadium.
The Hens begin their 2013 home schedule with a three-game series against Monmouth University on Friday, Mar. 1 at 3:00 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium.
